POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information after an attempted burglary at a house in a York suburb.
North Yorkshire Police said it happened on Juniper Close in New Earswick between 3pm on Sunday and 7pm the next day.
Someone tried to break the lock at the rear of a house on the street, the force added.
A spokesperson for the force commented: "We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
"In particular, we are appealing for information about any suspicious activity in the area and appeal for witnesses to any unknown people or vehicles seen lurking in the street."
