SO, the anti-Brexit alliance in Westminster have forced us into an election that the majority in the 2016 referendum did not want and which should not be taking place.

The Labour Party are seeking to abrogate all responsibility for the Parliamentary chaos by blaming it all on the Conservatives ‘red lines’.

What Labour are advocating is not realistic. They seek to incorporate into the mechanism for the UK to leave the EU our future trade relations with them.

Time and again the EU have said that the ‘withdrawal agreement’ is NOT open to renegotiation. And of course, it is not possible in terms of the UK constitution. No Government can create laws which restrict the international options of future Governments.

The Labour Party must know this. To claim otherwise is simply another example of duplicity.

The same with the Lib Dem MP who stated on TV that a second referendum would contain a clause compelling Parliament to enact the result, even it was again to Leave. The same MPs who have finagled the current Parliamentary impasse will do so again. They will only agree to implement the re-run referendum if it agrees with them.

Whatever the results on May 23, the anti-Brexit alliance will find some way to claim some sort of victory. What they hope, of course, is that the Leave majority will be so disillusioned that they will simply stay at home.

If you think otherwise, you know what to do: ‘Tell them again!’
