POLICE arrested a teenager and a man after a female member of staff at a York shop was allegedly threatened with a knife during a robbery.
North Yorkshire Police said the incident at the BNT shop on Nunthorpe Road was reported at about 7.10pm on Thursday, May 9.
A spokeswoman for the force explained: "A suspect entered the store and threatened a member of staff with a knife and demanded cash before leaving with a bottle of alcohol.
"Although the staff member was not physically injured, she was very shaken up by what happened."
The force confirmed that police arrested a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of robbery and a 29-year-old man on suspicion of assisting an offender in connection with the robbery.
Both have been released on bail.
