A PLAY about the effects of Alzheimer's disease will be performed in Selby next week.
And Before I Forget I Love You, I Love You is created and performed by Edinburgh Fringe regular Pip Utton, and will take place at Selby Town Hall on May 18.
The show, which looks at how the disease affects the sufferer as well as their family, friends and carers, is based on the experiences of Pip and his brother as their mother deteriorated and died from Alzheimer's.
Pip has created solo shows about Margaret Thatcher, Winston Churchill, Casanova, Charlie Chaplin and Tony Hancock, and Selby Town Council arts officer Chris Jones said this show is a hugely moving piece.
He said: "Pip Utton never fails to deliver anything less than a total acting masterclass. His latest play is a beautifully expressive, honest and intelligent piece of writing and performance. It feels deeply real but with an incredible deftness of touch. This is absolutely top quality theatre, right on your doorstep."
Tickets are on sale now from the venue, by phoning 01757 708449 or at selbytownhall.co.uk and cost £12 in advance, £14 on the door.
