A 45-YEAR-old man from York has been arrested in connection with a serious sexual assault.
The incident was reported at 11.45pm on Tuesday (May 7) when a man allegedly attacked a woman in the Nunnery Lane area, North Yorkshire Police said.
Officers have been carrying out patrols in the neighbourhood today to reassure residents.
North Yorkshire Police said that the victim was receiving support from specially-trained officers and partner agencies.
