COMEDIAN Rob Beckett will hit York Barbican twice with his new stand-up show Wallop!, first on October 24, then December 12.

The "Mouth of the South" cheeky chappie hosts BBC One’s All Together Now; does team captain duties on Channel 4’s 8 Out Of 10 Cats; co-presents The Magic Sponge podcast and has joined Romesh Ranganathan for Sky’s Rob And Romesh Vs. He is the voice of Channel 4’s Celebs Go Dating too.

The 33-year-old Londoner has hosted Comic Relief and Children In Need and made appearances on The Jonathan Ross Show; The Graham Norton Show; All Round To Mrs. Brown's; Jon Richardson: Ultimate Worrier; Taskmaster; Hypothetical; The Royal Variety Performance and Michael McIntyre’s Big Show.

He is to present the BBC One daytime quiz show Head Hunters: "It’s my first time hosting a quiz and I can’t wait to get stuck in," said Beckett. "We'll definitely have some laughs along the way as our Head Hunters bid, banter and sometimes offend their opponents."

Beckett played Pocklington Arts Centre in February 2017 on his Mouth Of The South tour. Tickets for his Barbican gigs are on sale at yorkbarbican.co.uk, on 0203 356 5441 or in person from the Barbican box office.
