A MAJOR road in York will be closed later this month as repairs are carried out.
Drivers who use the A19, Selby Road, are being warned that part of the road will be shut between May 23 and 24.
City of York Council said the road will be shut between the A64 junction towards Leeds-Scarborough and Forlands Road.
The Road will be closed from 7pm until 6am.
In a statement, City of York Council said: “Vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding and waiting in that length of A19, Selby Road, York, between its junctions with A64, Leeds-Scarborough, and Fordlands, during the period commencing at 7pm on May 23, 2019 and ending at 6am on the 24th.
“Carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken.
“An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.”
