THREE intrepid fundraisers from York will skydive 10,000ft later this month to increase awareness and raise funds to help people living with dementia.
Joanne Chesher , her husband Mark and Alzheimer’s Society fundraiser for North Yorkshire, Nicki Nalton, will undertake a skydive in Bridlington on May 25 to help celebrate Dementia Awareness Week.
The trio are fundraising for Harrowells, whose Care, Health & Wealth Team provides a range of specialist services to support individuals and families living with dementia and is part of a drive to make York a dementia-friendly city.
Joanne, who joined Harrowell’s in 2017, said: “In my brief time at Harrowells I have seen how quickly a person can deteriorate with dementia and have found it shocking and upsetting.”
