A SECOND professional sports club has formed a partnership with York St John University.
Some months ago, the university became the official sponsors of rugby league's York City Knights.
Now it has announced a partnership with Harrogate Town Football Club, currently in the National League.
The link will give the club's players access to high-spec training facilities and give sport students placements and internships.
The university's chief operating officer Rob Hickey said: "As the official higher education partner of the professional club we are now opening doors and providing opportunities for our students and the Harrogate FC squads.
"For both parties, this is an exciting time.”
Club manager Simon Weaver said: "We are fortunate that a link has been formed and between both Harrogate Town AFC and York St John there are many common goals and values that both parties share."
