LAUGH Out Loud Comedy will be in two places at once on Saturday.

How come? Headliner Angelos Epithemiou, Alun Cochrane and Freddie Farrell will be introduced by master of ceremonies Damion Larkin at York Barbican from 8pm, while Epithemiou and Cochrane will swap places at The Basement, City Screen, when Jamie Hutchinson and Joe Foster will join an 8pm bill hosted by the offbeat, nonchalant, aloof James Meehan.

The creation of performer Dan Renton Skinner, cult favourite Epithemiou was the "unwitting star" of Vic And Bob's revived Shooting Stars show, replacing Johnny Vegas on Ulrika Jonsson's Team B in 2009, before becoming the scorer and going on to have his own Channel 4 series in 2012.

"This is a very rare chance to see him in a comedy club near you, outside of his national tour," says promoter Larkin. "He's shambolic, weird, wonderful, and nothing is off the table when Epithemiou is in the building."

Funny nonsense West Yorkshire storyteller Alun Cochrane specialises in observational comedy rooted in something he has seen, heard or felt in his own life, such as in the street, or the kitchen, or anywhere. From there, it blossoms into an amusing anecdote or a strange flight of fancy.

Tickets are on sale at lolcomedyclubs.co.uk, on 0203 356 5441 or in person from the Barbican box office.
