STRENSALL Local History Group’s next meeting will feature a talk called ‘Notable Local Women from World War One’.
Anne Houson will give the talk and explore how the war changed the lives of local women, the challenges and opportunities that faced them, life on the home front, their losses and their legacies.
The meeting will be held at Strensall Village Hall on Wednesday, April 24, at 7.15pm. Details will be shared about a guided tour and coach trip to the Towton battlefield site. Guests can attend the meeting for a charge of £3.
