FOUR organisations concerned with the well-being of the local community teamed up to host an open day.
Wilberforce Trust, Rotary York Ainsty, YOPA (York Older People’s Assembly) and Ageing Without Children came together for the event at the trust’s headquarters in Huntington.
Phillipa Crowther, CEO of Wilberforce Trust, said: “It was the coffee, tea and cake that we thought would be the star attraction at this event, but many people came to see what exactly the noise was all about from the charities, who came together to engage with the local community, chatted to people and showcased their work.”
