THE Voice winner Andrea Begley will return to the Joseph Rowntree Theatre, York, on May 5.
"Last October, Andrea made a lasting impression on a capacity audience when she sang some of the songs that made her the winner of the second series of The Voice in 2013," says York singer Steve Cassidy, who has invited Andrea to travel again from her Northern Irish home to appear with his band.
"She will play a larger role in this year's concert," he adds. "This young lady from Pomeroy is simply a wonderful singer, who delighted her York audience when she sang with my musicians, augmented by the superb virtuosity of George Hall on keyboards. We're thrilled Andrea has agreed to return.”
Also appearing on the 7.30pm bill will be St George’s School Choir, always a popular presence at Steve’s concerts, bass player and singer Mick Hull and Community Chorus, who are building a good reputation around York. Joining Hull will be John Lewis on guitar and Colin Berriman on drums.
