FIRE crews were called in after a large parasol blew on to the roof of a domestic property in a village near York and risked causing damage and injury.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said the firefighters went to Wheldrake at noon today, and used two ladders to move the parasol to a safe location.
Firefighters have also extinguished a fire in Folly Wood, Huby, near Easingwold and another in undergrowth near Valley Gardens in Harrogate, which was believed to have been started deliberately.
