YORK'S riverside has been cordoned off in two places by police.
Police tape has been used to seal off an area of Kings Staith outside the Kings Arms pub, with an officer barring entry to the riverside from Ouse Bridge.
A second area further along the river, just upstream of Skeldergate Bridge, has also been taped off.
Officers at the scene declined to comment on the nature of the incident and North Yorkshire Police said a statement would be issued by the press office.
More to follow.
