KIEFER Sutherland, star of hit series 24, is heading to York Barbican to play songs from his upcoming second album.

The actor, who releases Reckless & Me on April 26, will stop off at the Barbican on Thursday, August 8.

The album, the follow-up to 2016's Down in a Hole, features a mix of country, Americana, folk, rock and blues.

Sutherland said of the songs on the album: "They're personal stories from my life.

"As lucky as I am, there are things you can't avoid: friends of yours are going to die, you're going to be let down and your heart will be broken.

"Hopefully, they help both me and the audience to realise that none of us are alone in trying to get through these things in life."

Tickets go on sale on April 26 at 10am at yorkbarbican.co.uk or by calling 0203 356 5441 or by visiting the box office in person.
