A YORKSHIRE family of classic car enthusiasts is revving up to star in a new TV series.
Members of the Mathewson family will share their knowledge and passion in Bangers & Cash, which airs on Freeview channel Yesterday.
The family, which auctions more than 2,000 rare vehicles at its showroom in Thornton-le-Dale, has turned the Moors village into a destination for buyers of classic cars, vintage motorbikes and memorabilia from all over the world.
The show features three generations of the family, including founder Derek, his sons, Paul and Dave, and grandchildren, as well as office manager Sarah Crabtree.
Andy Joynson, from York-based production company Air TV, said: "I wanted to make an authentic classic car show and you cannot get any more authentic than Mathewsons."
In the first of the ten-part series, Mathewsons collects a rusty, yet incredibly rare, 1965 Austin Mini Cooper S from a garage, which exceeds all expectations, selling for £18,000 at auction.
The series starts on Yesterday at 8pm on April 18.
