AN attempted theft of signalling cables caused a points failure near York Station this morning (April 16), which blocked some railway lines.
At about 6.50am, London North Eastern Railway warned rail passengers travelling to and from York that some platform alterations may take place.
The company announced at around 7.25am that disruption had ended and that the issue had been resolved.
It confirmed that only one platform was affected by this.
