THREE people were taken to hospital after a crash in a village near York.
Two vehicles collided at about 11.40am today in Elvington Lane, Elvington.
The Yorkshire Ambulance Service said three people were taken to hospital while North Yorkshire Police said two were injured and taken to be checked over.
"One of the people who was injured, a 28 year-old woman, was believed to be a passenger in one of the vehicles," said a force spokeswoman.
"A 57 year-old man, who was also injured, was believed to be driving the other vehicle. The investigation is ongoing."
The road, which was partially blocked, reopened at 12.40pm.
