EMERGENCY services were called to the River Ouse near Blue Bridge in York after a person was reported to be in the water.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue service said it was alerted at 4.45am on Saturday. It carried out a search of the river and river bank but no one was located.
York Rescue Boat tweeted: "The team were called out by @NYorksPolice and @NorthYorksFire to help carry out a river and bank search in the area of Blue Bridge in York after a person was reported in the River Ouse. Nothing was found."
