POP sensation Ronan Keating will take to the stage near York this summer.

The Boyzone star who also enjoyed huge success as a solo artist will be headlining at Castle Howard during a musical weekend of August 3 and 4.

The annoucnement follows the success of the pop band UB40 who headlined last year.

Ronan, who will perform on Sunday, August 4, had more than 16 top five singles with Boyzone which saw the group become one of Ireland’s biggest and most successful bands of all time. His solo success saw him go to the top of the charts with When You Say Nothing at All.

His performance is part of a weekend of music in the grounds of the stately home, that also includes the Castle Howard Proms concert on August 3.

Tickets are £39.50 for adults, and £26.50 for under the age of 16 while under fives go free.

Gates open from 5pm.
