ORGANISERS of a charity event being held in York later this year are appealing for donations of prizes to be won on the night.

Kia Carlton and Kelly Richardson, who live in York, are holding the event on August 2 from 6pm at the Hospital Social Club on Haxby Road.

It will raise funds for Epilepsy Action and the Lullaby Trust.

They have chosen these charities as Kia’s son Taran has epilepsy, while in 2012 she had to deal with the tragic loss of her 11-month-old daughter Telan, who died of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).

The Lullaby Trust raises awareness of SIDS, provides expert advice on safer sleep for babies and offers emotional support for bereaved families.

Kia and Kelly’s charity event will offer fun for all the family, with a raffle, tombola, bingo and much more.

Tickets cost £3 and are free for children. Each ticket includes entry to the raffle. Anyone who would like to donate prizes for the raffle and tombola can do so by calling Kia on 07734212446.
