A SELBY College student has been offered a place at Oxford University.
Emily Morbey, 17, who also studied at Holy Family School, has been offered a place to study Human Sciences at Oxford University’s Keble College.
Emily is currently studying for A Levels in Mathematics, Biology and English Language, and particularly interested in the Genetics and Evolution elements of the course that Oxford offers, after she took part in their degree summer school programme last year.
Emily said: "This is an amazing opportunity to study a course that really interests me - in a place that will really push me to succeed."
She applied with the support of the mentoring scheme Oxbridge Applications where she was given the experience and advice of a former Oxford student throughout the application process.
Emily, who is a keen singer and guitarist, is also hoping to join Keble College Choir if she is successful on A Level Results day.
