Budding horticulturalists should head down to Nether Poppleton this weekend.
Free packets of potato and carrot seeds will be handed out on Saturday, April 13, for the bucket competitions at this year's Poppleton Village Show.
The team will be outside the shops on Allerton Drive from 10am-midday and outside The Co-Op on the green from 2-3pm with seeds and more information about the show.
This year's spud of choice is Cara if you want to plant your own.
The show itself is on August 17.
