YORK Ted-Fest 3, a celebration of Teddy Boy rock'n'roll, will be held on Easter Saturday at Huntington Working Men's Club, North Moor Road, Huntington, York.

"Three of the best rock'n'roll acts in Europe are on the bill, which runs from 6pm to 11.45pm on April 20," says York Rock'n'Roll Club promoter Dave Williamson.

"We'll have Jet Black, with Robb Storm, from London, who do the best in early British rock'n'roll; The Fantoms, from Northampton, who specialise in 1959 to 1962 British rock'n'roll, and Mike Dee And The D-Tones, from Robin Hood's Bay, North Yorkshire, who re-create the 1950s' rock'n'roll sound.

"Add one of the UK's top rock'n'roll DJs, Echoes Of The Past, from Derbyshire, and it will be a top night of real rock'n'roll."

Looking ahead, Dave says: "This is just one of the rock'n'roll events planned for the club this year, with The Jets, The Lincolns, The Spunyboys, Phil Haley And The Comments, The Scorchers and Crazy Cavan And The Rhythm Rockers all lined up."

Tickets cost £15 on the door.
