FLYING Ducks Youth Theatre present the revue show This Is Me! on Friday and Saturday at the Joseph Rowntree Theatre, York.

"We're quite a young group this year as we've had to start again from scratch," says Flying Ducks' Pam Davies. "We only had three original members, but we now have 21 members, plus a younger group called the Ducklings who will be taking a small part in the show."

The fun-filled This Is Me comprises songs, scenes and dances from favourite musical shows such as The Greatest Showman, Hairspray, Mary Poppins, Oliver!, Grease, Chicago and many more, under the direction of Jenna Howlett and her sister Sara.

Ready for take-off: Flying Ducks Youth Theatre prepare for This Is Me!

"They were both members of the group when they were younger and Jenna has since gained a degree from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London," says Pam.

Flying Ducks could be spotted performing selections from the show in Parliament Street last Sunday to promote Friday's 7.30pm performance and Saturday's 2.30pm and 7.30pm shows.

Tickets cost £9 to £11 on 01904 501935 or at josephrowntreetheatre.co.uk. "Jenna, Sara and two of our youth group, Keelie and Mollie, are members of Relay For Life, which raises money for cancer research, and our collection at Friday and Saturday's shows will be for that cause," says Pam.

This Is Me! will be Flying Ducks's first production since starting to fly again. "We only have a committee of six and we're all working really hard to build the group back up," says Pam.
