BEREAVEMENT and divorce led a York mum to write a self-help book with a spiritual theme.
Mum-of-two Lindsay Coldrick, 38, from Elvington, wrote A Gentle Hug For the Soul following the death of her best friend Lisa and a divorce.
Lindsay, who teaches Reiki and is a crystal healer, said during the 12 months following Lisa's death and her marriage breakdown she had to draw on a range of "tools" such as mindfulness and expressing gratitude to help her cope.
And it gave her the idea to share these tips in a self-help book.
"It's for anyone who is looking for some tools to get through the stress in their life," said Lindsay.
The 82-page book went straight to number two in the women's spirituality category on Amazon Kindle after its launch.
Lindsay is working on a follow up and says she will be going to America to pick up an award for inspiring women through her book from the Women With Gifts organisation.
