Congratulations to all the children, parents, organisers, commercial sponsors and celebrities who contributed to Stimul8’s recent fashion show at the Grand Opera House. It was truly brilliant.
I am sure I speak for all the audience members in saying that we left with great smiles on our faces. The inspiring children and young people who modelled the clothes showed us their moves on the catwalk, and spoke passionately to Look North’s Amy Garcia about the experience.
They clearly enjoyed their moments in the spotlight and highlighted how much they want Ruth Thompson and Jo Rodwell’s vision for Stimul8 to succeed.
They are all working hard to raise money for a purpose-built leisure and training facility for disabled children in York.
Stimul8 is already making good headway with fundraising, but urgently needs more donations.
