I AM a voter who exercised my right to vote to leave the European Union during the referendum. I now know the full implications of taking this decision and wish I had voted to stay within the EU.

It is now clear the electorate was at best misled by both the Leave and Remain factions. We now have the full information and are aware of the subsequent consequences of the outcome of voting to leave the EU.

The British Parliament has descended into self destruct mode, instead of working for the best outcome for the electorate. Party politics seems to have taken precedence over the welfare of the country for generations to come. The Prime Minister is more concerned with losing face than the future of the country.

The EU bargaining position was always the Irish Issue. They knew from the start this would create constitutional issues and used it to their advantage. We never had a chance. Time for common sense to prevail.

British politics has sunk to a new low

WHEN the electorate feel the need to question the integrity of the Prime Minister, politics in Britain has sunk to a new low. “We are leaving the EU on March 29, 2019, deal or no deal” is a promise that has been emphatically, publicly reiterated over 100 times. Where will the country be tomorrow? Still a full fee-paying member of the European Union. Come April Fools’ Day, I wonder how the 17.4 million people will be feeling?
