FOR the first time since 2002, Turin Brakes are to play a fully acoustic tour, booked into Pocklington Arts Centre for November 29.

Founder members and former primary school friends Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian and long-time bandmates Rob Allum and Eddie Myer will perform stripped-back songs from a 20-year career that has brought then seven Top 40 singles and six Top 40 albums.

Arts centre director Janet Farmer says: "Turin Brakes need no introduction. They're without doubt one of the best UK indie bands and continue to produce hit music that will sound incredible as an acoustic show here.

"We predict it will sell out quickly, so if you want to seize this unique opportunity to see this great band perform live in our intimate surroundings, I would advise you to get your tickets now! We’ll see you there."

In January 2018, Turin Brakes released their eighth studio album, Invisible Storm, recorded at Rockfield Studios, in Monmouthshire, Wales, where Queen famously made Bohemian Rhapsody.

Tickets cost £20 on 01759 301547 or at pocklingtonartscentre.co.uk.
