A DRIVER who was pulled over by police for speeding on the A55 was found to be over the drink driving limit.
North Wales Police said the driver was stopped due to speeding on Monday, March 25 - but following a breathalyser was found to be more than 50 per cent over the limit.
A spokesperson for the force's Roads Policing Unit said: "A driver has been arrested for drink driving on the A55. The driver was stopped owing to excess speed but it transpired he was drunk.
"The driver provided a reading of 55 in custody with legal limit being 35."
The police unit spokesperson added that the driver has been charged and will appear in court.
