STARS from Broadway and London's West End will perform in Scarborough this summer.

Tickets for West End Proms will take place at Scarborough Open Air Theatre on Friday, July 5, and tickets go on sale this Friday, March 29.

The event will include a 32-piece orchestra and vocalists from major shows including Phantom Of The Opera, Les Miserables, Wicked, Miss Saigon, Hamilton, Dreamgirls and The Bodyguard.

Award-winning John Owen-Jones - who performed in Les Mis in the West End and Broadway - Ben Forster - winner of ITV’s Superstar in 2012 - and Rachel John and Jon Robyns - stars of West End show of the moment Hamilton.

Also performing are Jodie Steele and Jamie Muscato - stars of Heathers - Lauren Samuels - finalist on the BBC’s Over the Rainbow - and Marisha Wallace - leading lady of Dreamgirls and Waitress.

Director Peter Taylor said: "This is more than a concert, it’s a show worthy of the West End and Broadway. We’ve brought together some of the world’s most beautiful voices complete with a stunning live orchestra. It will be an extraordinary night."
