A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving and failing to stop at the scene of a crash on the Selby bypass.
North Yorkshire Police said that incident happened 3.20pm yesterday on the A63 Selby bypass, at the roundabout with the A1040, and involved a grey Hyundai Tuscon and a white Vauxhall Corsa.
In a statement the force said: "The Vauxhall did not stop at the scene. The two occupants of the Hyundai suffered serious injuries.
"A 44-year-old man from Thorne, Doncaster, was arrested at 4.40pm the same day in Thorne. He was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop for police, dangerous driving, drink driving and failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
"He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
"Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting reference 12190053067.
