The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is hosting its annual Hearts First High Peak Trail Winter Challenge Walk on Sunday November 18. This event will raise crucial funds to help support men, women and children whose hearts need a helping hand.

The 17.5 mile hike through the spectacular Peak District is the BHF's biggest fundraising event and attracts more than 1,400 walkers. Starting from Cromford Meadows, near Matlock, walkers follow a route through stunning Derbyshire countryside, finishing at Hurdlow, six miles south of Buxton. As well as helping your own hearts, you'll also be helping other people's.

We are appealing to members of the community to come along to the event and help us to raise more than £100,000.

The money will help the nation's heart charity continue the fight against heart disease by funding pioneering research, patient care and vital information.

Registration for the High Peak Trail Winter Challenge Walk is now open. Entry for the event is £5 if you pre-register and £10 on the day.
