Police called to altercation in York city centre
POLICE searched a man in York city centre after receiving a report of a group involved in an altercation and the possibility that a knife might have been seen.
North Yorkshire Police said officers attended Low Ousegate at about 6.20pm on Tuesday.
When officers arrived, they searched a man but did not find a weapon, the force added.
It confirmed no-one was injured or arrested and no complaints were made.
