A WORLD renowned real estate company has appointed a new advisor to run proceedings across Yorkshire.

International real estate advisor Savills has appointed Anne Haggas to run its new homes division in Yorkshire.

Mrs Haggas has joined the firm as an associate director and will be based between Savills York office at River House, Museum Street and the Leeds offices.

The company said that Mrs Haggas, who is a Former Carter Jonas and Knight Frank partner, will bring more than 16 years’ experience in similar roles.

In her previous role at Carter Jonas and Knight Frank, she set up the northern new homes division at Carter Jonas.

Her new role heading up the residential development sales division at Savills will see her provide a fully rounded role to developers encompassing the sale of new homes and development consultancy.

Savills already has a successful new homes division in the north of England and it is believed that now is the time to further enhance the offering across Yorkshire.

Jamie Adam, head of the northern new homes team at Savills said that the company were delighted to welcome Anne to the company.

He said: “We are delighted to welcome Anne to the team.

“She joins us just as we prepare to launch five schemes across the county with others due to launch later in the year spanning Leeds, York and Harrogate.

“Anne’s knowledge, contacts and experience promise to be invaluable as we grow our northern new homes business.”

During her career, Anne was credited with helping to trigger a number of large-scale regeneration projects in towns along the M62 corridor.

She was instrumental in the growth of city living through flagship schemes across Yorkshire and the North East.

Anne said that currently, it is the most exciting time to be part of the property industry.

She said: “I thoroughly enjoy being involved in the property industry in Yorkshire.

“It is perhaps the most exciting period for the residential property market for many years seeing landmark regeneration schemes beginning to unfold and I am delighted to be part of the journey ensuring all developments achieve their full potential.”
