THE watercolour works of Halifax artist Paul Dene Marlor will go on show at Village Gallery, Colliergate, York, from March 5 to April 13.
"Paul predominantly paints in watercolour, a medium he enjoys for its transparency and fluidity," says gallery curator Simon Main. "His landscape paintings are mostly set in and around the Yorkshire Dales and the Pennines, though he has also painted in the Lake District and Snowdonia."
Village Gallery hosts exhibitions by Yorkshire artists, each running for around six weeks. "We've recently welcomed the work of York artists Julia Williams and Tim Bos and Leeds ceramicist Kit Hemsley, and along with Paul, they will be taking part in A Misbelief Of Artists, a preview of the new exhibition on Monday evening, when they will all be on hand to talk to about their work."
Tickets for this event can be acquired from Simon at Village Gallery or on 01904 411444. The gallery is normally open Tuesday to Saturday and at other times by arrangement.
