THE concerns about the effect building houses on the site of Strensall Barracks would have on Strensall Common (Homes plan at barracks may be ditched, February 25) apply equally to the effect building houses in Moor Lane Acomb would have on Askham Bog Nature Reserve.
Sir David Attenborough visited Askham Bog and said that building houses would have a greatly detrimental effect on the reserve.
I would like to invite Natural England to visit Askham Bog and afterwards make a similar statement to that they have made about Strensall.
