Man to appear in court after theft of steak from York shop
A MAN will appear in court today (February 20) charged with theft from a shop and going equipped for theft, after a report of shoplifting in York.
North Yorkshire Police said it was called at about 2.40pm yesterday to a report of the theft of steak and other items from a shop on Broadway
Officers and PCSOs from York Outer Neighbourhood Policing Team attended immediately, and following an area search, a man was arrested shortly after 4pm, the force added.
It said he has also been charged with four thefts of pedal cycles.
