YORK Dance Space will hold contemporary dance workshops on stage at the Grand Opera House, York, during half-term on February 28.
"Come and experience the theatre in a different way by diving into the world of contemporary movement and dance," says general manager Rachel Lane. "These one-off workshops offer participants a dynamic and fun approach to contemporary technique and the creative process, with the backdrop of the theatre's auditorium and led by industry professionals.
"No previous dance experience is required. It's not about being the best but about being curious with a willingness to play and learn. Don't wait in the wings; book your tickets now to reserve your space, especially as the workshops will take place on stage, which is a unique selling point."
This will be first time the Grand Opera House has teamed up with York Dance Space for workshops. Two sessions will be held: the first from 10am to 11am for ages seven to 11; the second from 12 noon to 1pm for 12 to 16 year olds.
The price is £8 per child or £15 for two; book at bit.ly/2WWoTiS for the 10am workshop; bit.ly/2Sq77G5 for 12 noon.
