THIS video shows the old footbridge on Scarborough Bridge being removed by a rail crane on February 9.
The new pedestrian and cycle route is set to be lifted into place in two separate pieces overnight this weekend, February 23, and next weekend, March 2.
A council spokesman said piling work on the embankments has now been completed.
And the new bridge is due to open on March 18, as long as weather does not delay the improvement works.
