FIREFIGHTERS have tackled a grass fire just a day after dealing with a massive gorse blaze.
A crew from Ripon, assisted by firefighters from Masham, dealt this afternoon with a 50 metre by 30 metre grass field on fire in Studley Roger.
Six crews fought a blaze affecting 6,000 square metres of gorse and grassland at Eastfield, Scarborough, yesterday, and returned today to check it had not re-ignited.
A service spokeswoman said the fires came after an unseasonably bright and dry period of weather.
