A HOTEL on Clifton Green could be converted into flats.

A planning application has been submitted for Hotel Noir to be turned into 15 apartments.

The conservatory would be removed and 16 cycle parking spaces would be created, in addition to 12 parking bays.

A report says: “The site is situated within the Clifton conservation area and is within the setting of the nearby Grade II-listed building of The Old Grey Mare public house.

“The proposed changes at Hotel Noir will enhance the heritage significance of the building itself, as well as the Clifton conservation area and the Old Grey Mare through improvements to its setting.

“A number of changes are proposed, of which a number are enhancements.”

The 28-bedroom hotel will be turned into four one-bed flats, seven two-beds and four three-bed apartments.

A report says during busy times parking spills out on to neighbouring streets so converting the building into flats will be better for the area.
