ONE of the largest buildings in East Yorkshire is up for sale.

The building, located just off the A1079, near Market Weighton has been put up for sale by property consultancy company, Gent Visick.

The property company are working for clients, Montracon, a commercial trailer manufacturing company that have used the site since 1994.

The company had previously employed more than 100 people at the site however they have recently scaled back operations, moving half of their work to a new site in Doncaster.

Approximately half of the facility, located between York and Beverley, is still currently in operation.

The total size of the building is approximately 100,000 square feet, whilst the site itself is approximately eight acres and will be suitable for either a manufacturing or warehouse and distribution company.

Paul Mack, director at Gent Visick, said: “There are few buildings of this scale that are available across the entire East or North Yorkshire regions, and it could have a hugely positive impact in terms of employment for the local and regional area.

“The property also benefits from being built to a high specification.

“It includes a large power and gas supply, multiple cranes and three acres of expansion land, an eaves height of up to 8.82 metres as well as 25 loading doors."
