TRAIN services from York to the north have resumed after an incident on the East Coast Mainline had earlier blocked the route.
Rail operator LNER said earlier that trains were unable to run between between York and Newcastle, Middlesbrough and Sunderland but confirmed this afternoon that all lines had now reopened.
"As trains return to normal, some services will be delayed by up to 60 minutes or cancelled," it said. "A normal service is expected to resume from 14:30."
