Drone technology has lots of potential which should be explored and exploited.

The major disruption at Gatwick airport due to one criminal misusing technology is not an excuse to prevent it being used by the masses. All technology gets abused by somebody. The reason police started calling for them to be banned is because that drone incident revealed, yet again, just how incompetent their organisation is: they were outwitted for over two days by an electronic toy.

Not only did the delay demonstrate to any terrorist that they would have all the time in the world to carry out a drone-based attack, they then go and publicly arrest a totally innocent person and fail to find the real culprit.

I’ll wager the minute police discover drones could be adapted to issue speeding fines they’ll become the biggest purchaser of drone technology in the country.

Perhaps the doctors concerned over post-Brexit drug supplies should look at using them too, yet another endeavour where criminals are already way more creative than our state organisations.
