POLICE are investigating a burglary at a children's day nursery in Selby.
It is believed Abbey Place Day Nursery, on Church Avenue, was burgled sometime between 6pm on Friday and 7.15am on Monday, North Yorkshire Police said.
The force believes the offender/s got into the building through the kitchen window and about £60 in cash was stolen, along with a business credit card.
A spokesperson for the force said: "A full investigation into the incident has been launched and house-to-house inquires have been carried out. CCTV opportunities are also being explored.
"We would like to reassure the community that we are working to identify the person or people responsible and would appeal to anyone who was in the area and noticed anything suspicious near to or outside Abbey Place Day Nursery on Church Avenue, Selby to contact police. Your information will be looked at thoroughly and could really help our inquiries.
"We are also keen to hear from anyone who may have heard anything about the incident in the days since to contact us with any information."
