PRINCESS Anne is to visit York's National Railway Museum for the first time on Friday morning to see Queen Victoria’s recently restored railway carriage and unveil a plaque to mark the completion of the 14-month project, which included redecorating the carriage by hand, replacing decorative mouldings and applying gold leaf.
The section of the museum nearest to York railway station will be shut to the public until 1pm because of the Royal Visit.
