STORM Erik blew through York on Saturday - causing travel disruption and fallen trees.
A Met Office issued a Yellow weather warning as strong winds battered the city, with gusts of almost 70mph.
Emergency services warned motorists to take care when driving through the difficult conditions.
The Met Office had predicted "widespread gales, locally severe at first, and blustery showers".
North Yorkshire Police also reported this morning (Saturday) that a large tree had been blown over in Elvington Lane on the outskirts of York, completely blocking the road. The tree has since been cleared.

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said its crews attended "numerous weather related incidents due to the high winds" throughout Saturday, which "mainly involving signage and guttering".
Meanwhile, LNER warned that due to reports of high winds between Doncaster and York, a speed restriction of 80mph had been enforced on trains.
It added: "Services passing through both areas may be delayed by up to 10 minutes due to this."
Meanwhile, a flood alert was been issued for the River Ouse in York.
