THE winner of The Press Camera Club's December competition has been presented with her prize.
Karen Gilks, from Wheldrake, was chosen as the winner of the competition, which had a theme of 'animals'.
The 56-year-old entered her stunning black and white image of a tiny boxer puppy.
She has been presented with a canvas print of her image.
Keen photographer Karen said: "My daughter bred her boxer and it had six puppies. That is one of them. He was five-days-old at the time. His name is Leo.
"I have never won anything before so I was really pleased to win.
"I have entered the Camera Club competitions before and had pictures in the paper but this is the first time I have won it."
She added: "The canvas picture is lovely. The quality is really nice."
The theme for February's Camera Club competition is ‘love’, and winners also receive £50.
Pictures should be posted in the Camera Club Facebook group, marked with #love and must be submitted by Thursday, February 28.
